Support

Getting answers to questions from writers experienced in publishing, agents, revision, etc., is invaluable!

I am so very grateful to you for your editing suggestions and your ongoing encouragement. I didn’t have the confidence to send writing off for publication last year, but your help this year built my confidence, strengthened my writing, and gave me courage to begin submitting my pieces - and now one is being published in an anthology! Thank you for these gifts!

Lauren is a wonderful coach! She was always thoughtful, supportive, and ready with just the right readings and resources. These days, the fact that I've committed to keeping my writing time [when faced with childcare challenges] says a lot about how far I've come in the two months I've been with her! I really *feel* like a writer who is actively engaged in her practice.

I came to Lauren faltering, even with the finish line in sight. Her keen eye, light touch, and deeply compassionate nature allowed me just the right support to move through the stuck place and finish my draft...My manuscript and I are both better now, thanks to Lauren’s skillful coaching.

*How many writers will be in the course?

There is no cap on this course but it is exclusively for those who attended Wild Writing in the Boreal so the final enrolment number could be anywhere from four people to 21.

When do we start?

We begin on May 1st, with our first ZOOM workshop scheduled for Sunday, May 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. Winnipeg time. During the week before we begin, you will receive a syllabus and schedule with all the upcoming meeting times and dates.

What if I can't make a workshop?

The 'teaching' content of the workshops will be recorded and shared with you if you can't make it. The first and last half hours are designed for check-ins, conversation, and Q-and-A which won't be recorded.

*How many calls can I book with you?

As many as you like! I mean, if I'm talking to you as we both fall asleep that might be too many but we'll cross that bridge when we get there!

I'm not sure. Can I find out more from you?

Sure can! You can book a call with me to get all of your questions answered--or ask me anything at the retreat! Just remember that the bonus is only available if you sign up during the retreat and registration closes April 29. Schedule a call at calendly.com/laurencarter/connectioncall

Tell me more about the assignments?

The biweekly assignments are reflections, challenges, and writing exercises. You will receive these every other week. They are always optional; if you're busy working on your novel, stay with that energy. Just let us know where you're at through email or Facebook!
